Terms and Conditions of ParkMate’s ‘Car Giveaway’

1. Eligibility
   1. Entry is automatic upon ParkMate registration, and after completing a paid transaction.
   2. If the one millionth registered account has not completed a paid transaction, the prize will be awarded to the next registered account that meets this condition.
   3. The winner must be a resident of New Zealand and aged 18 years or older at the time of registration.
   4. This sales promotion scheme is conducted in accordance with the Fair Trading Act 1986, and the Gambling Act 2003.
   5. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of ParkMate and Wilson Parking are ineligible to participate to prevent conflicts of interests.
2. Prize
   1. The prize is one motor vehicle (“Toyota Rav4”) or similar model vehicle of equivalent value, as determined and supplied by ParkMate.
   2. The specific make, model, colour, and features of the Car will be chosen at ParkMate’s discretion and are not negotiable.
   3. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
3. Winner Notification & Claim
   1. The winner will be contacted by ParkMate via the details used to register their account.
   2. The winner must claim the prize within 14 calendar days (2 weeks) of notification.
   3. If the winner cannot be contacted within this timeframe, or does not claim the prize, ParkMate reserves the right to award the prize to another eligible person at its sole discretion.
   4. The winner will be announced on the 1st of December 2025.
4. Prize Delivery
   1. The winner is responsible for collecting the Car from a ParkMate-nominated location in New Zealand.
   2. The winner will be responsible for all costs associated with ownership of the Car after handover, including but not limited to fuel, insurance, registration renewal, licensing, maintenance, and ongoing running costs.
5. Verification
   1. ParkMate may request proof of identity, residency, and eligibility before awarding the prize.
   2. Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in forfeiture of the prize.
   3. By entering this promotion, participants agree that ParkMate may collect, store, and use their personal information for the purposes of administering the promotion, contacting the winner, and carrying out related publicity activities. All personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and ParkMate’s Privacy Policy. Personal information will not be disclosed to third parties except as required to conduct the promotion or as otherwise permitted by law. Participants have the right to access and request correction of their personal information by contacting ParkMate directly.
6. General Conditions
   1. ParkMate’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
   2. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities (such as publicity photos, media interviews, and social media content) without additional compensation.
   3. ParkMate accepts no responsibility for any tax, duty, levy or other financial implications that may arise from winning the prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
   4. ParkMate reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel this promotion at any time without prior notice, if it becomes impracticable to continue due to circumstances beyond its control, and only to the extent permitted by law.
7. Liability
   1. ParkMate, Wilson Parking New Zealand, and their related parties are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered in connection with the prize, except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
   2. ParkMate will not be liable for any failure to provide the prize, or for any delay in doing so, where such failure or delay is caused by events outside of its reasonable control. These events may include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, war, strike, labour dispute, government restriction, regulatory change, or supply chain disruption. If such an event occurs, ParkMate reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value, or to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion where delivery of the prize is not reasonably possible, subject always to compliance with applicable law.
